We are the rare matter, occupying a razor-thin sliver of our planet's mass, that is afforded the rare and precious gift to experience illumination. And twice a day our sun and moon remind us of that in spectacular and awe inspiring fashion.

“Is this heaven?” 

“No... This is Iowa.”

“Iowa? I could have sworn this was heaven.”

While it pays bills, I try to avoid formal wedding photography. In the crucible of formal shooting, far often the most precious moments are missed. My eye is looking for the moments of intimacy and real character that come most often when people aren't posing.
