This is a page cataloging the remaster of Within an Endless Sky, an award winning animated film I completed in 2001 and the first film made in Maya at CalArts. Research and production began in Maya 1.0 in 1998 and completed in 2001. It is currently being restored and updated to 2K resolution.

the traditions of his people.”
Within an Endless Sky is a sophisticated children's fable merging traditional cinematography with computer graphics.
As the SIGGRAPH 2002 program described the work:
"The production of Within an Endless Sky merges 3D, 2D, motion graphics, and time-lapse filmmaking to expand the scope of traditional cinematography and CGI. With modern tools [Maya, Photoshop, After Effects], visual sleight-of hand, and a crew of one - an individual filmmaker, even a self-taught student filmmaker, is now able to dramatically and affordably extend the scale and quality of visual storytelling."
